Ways of Seeing: Blindness and Art

A 3-channel video that examines how three visually-impaired people experience an art exhibition, mediated through the words of a professional audio describer and the curator. It explores how the unsettled relationship between seeing, words and knowing as articulated by John Berger (Ways of Seeing 1972) can be further complicated by sight loss.

Commissioned by Chinese Arts Centre in collaboration with Henshaws Society for Blind People and supported by Arts Council England, 2008.
