70,000 Lux, 2010
Installation. Seven wall-mounted boxes, each containing a S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder) light, activated by motion sensors. While referencing the works of Donald Judd and Dan Flavin, it explores the effects of infesting a minimalist structure with a medical device.
This work was inspired by the experience of working with mental health service users during an artist residency at and a commission by Springfield University Hospital, London, supported by Arts Council England.
